I'm off to Atlanta Georgia for spring break

Yesterday afternoon I committed to doing a painting for my good friend Suzanne.
One of her other friends was turning 40 this weekend and she wanted to give her one of my paintings. This friend has been out to the art room and really liked a painting I did in early 2006. The painting from 2006 was done while my brother in law (who I'm traveling to see this week) was getting his first round of stem cell treatment. When I asked Chrissy why she liked this painting so much, she said it was the movement.
12X12 I'm not completely done yet, I still have to do something to the center, but in the meantime while I figure out what to do with the center I will start packing and preparing for Mike, Hannah and I to leave very early tomorrow morning.
Have a great week
Happy Spring
Lisa D.

Lisa, the original is wonderful, and I have no doubt the one your are working on will be as well. It already looks great!

Wonderful painting already, Lisa--I love the colors that you use. I just got back from Columbus and from my visit to Dick Blick :) Enjoy your time away!

I love the black background in this one. I don't know if it stays that way, but it is beautiful
and the flower IS moving like a cartwheel through open space...it is amazing, Lisa!
Thank you for the email...I loved your words so much I saved it :)
Hugs :)

I love your work, Lisa. I have long admired the trees you did for Dawn and these flowers are so gorgeous. What a great gift for her friend! Your sweet spirit shines through in your painting.
