Just had lunch with Deb and Sharon, she'll be back home in Phoenix by the time you get there. She wanted me to give you her phone # so you can call when you're there.
I'm excited to see what you learn and that way you can share some new techmiques. I always like trying something I haven't done before, it leads me down new paths.
I discovered something quite by accident the other day, I was using one of my paper page pieces as a background. I wanted to darken it in places and I used pastels (water soluable) to do that. The wrinkles in the paper bag art catches quite a bit of pastel, so when I ironed it I covered the piece with a piece of paper toweling and got this lovely surprise. The excess pastel transfered to the paper towel creating this wonderful random design. I still staring at it, thinking "how should I use this?"
The circus has come to town and I'm so excited, I want us all to go on Saturday night. It's out in Addison, IL. Ray and I are ushering at Goodman on Sunday, the last play of the season and it's gotten great reviews, so we don't want to miss it!
Travel safely tomorrow, I can hardly wait for us all to be together!
Hi Lisa! I am happy I got the chance to at least meet you at AU. I would have liked to have some time to get to know you-maybe on your next rrip. You are a brave soul to do Phoenix in the summer. I love your trees and it was fun to finally be able to put a face with the wonderful art.
