Today my son Jake would have turned 10.
He was removed from life support after 2 weeks
Jake had something called Gastroskises
not my typical type of art, but this girl called out to me and I decided to take her home. She has been sitting in the art room with me. Maybe to help me get through this time of mourning.
This is one of my mother paintings I did at Christmas time

but be assured I am still creating, just keeping some of it private.
Have a good weekend

thinking of you...art is powerful therapy, isn't it? thank God for it!
You keep on keeping on.
Best to you and yours.
oh, heck I left you a whole message and lost it trying to get it to post.
Yesterday when I took mom out to get her hair cut, pick up her meds, get a chocolate shake at Brusters and get the car washed I met a man that told me he was at Emory last year for his cancer. We both concurred that "Cancer Sucks" and he told me that he lost his 8 year old son to brain cancer in 1980. I told him that this would have been my grandson's 10 birthday today. We agreed that losing a child leaves a hole in your heart.
I love you and miss you. I'm counting the days until I leave Atlanta. Although I am looking forward to attending Charlotte's piano recital tomorrow.
Love,
Granny
Thinking of you! So sorry to hear about your son, although it was years ago I'm sure it feels like yesterday to you.
Hope your art is helping you get through.
So very, very sorry for your loss. A mother's heart never forgets. Isn't art a blessing?
Best wishes,
Angela
