13 years ago tomorrow, my son Jake was born
my brown boy is what I first thought when I saw him.
He was only with us for a few weeks,
when we unplugged the ventilator, we new we would only have a few more hours with him,
possibly a day.
He lasted until the evening.
I was 31
If I even ever had any religion, it was forever changed thirteen years ago.
When I was six, the most important person in my life left me,
then six months later another important person left me,
and my life was forever changed.
I guess my thoughts on today, the day before Jakes birthday
go into the world every day as if it were your last, love every day as if it were your last
you are in charge of your choices

Anonymous is me--Diane--(don't know why that happened??)
And my first comment(anonymous, which is now gone) was that I am also sending you hugs...

Thanks for the hugs : ) and always giving me kind and inspirational words...I appreciate them
Thank you for sharing and being so honest. it matters.
Thank you, Jenny....I agree
Lisa, just a huge warm hug for you.
And lot's of that love I finally unlocked all the way. You are such a strong and wonderful inspiring woman! Smiles, Anke :)
I think life is so very hard, and I am truly sorry for your suffering. I lost a brother to crib death 35 years ago...I found him, and then my life changed. My daughter has now been on 4 medications for bipolar mental illness for the past 10 years due to a very traumatic life changing event.
I haven't lost a child, but like you have lost a piece of my heart. I thank you for your sweet comment and I really enjoy your work and find it so very beautiful and inspiring.
Hugs to you. I am so sorry.
Oh, wow.
All good wishes to you and your family.
" Life is difficult " ~ Scott Peck - the opening sentence to his book The Road Less Traveled.
When a significant life event happens it can be soul destroying.
I'm feeling the sense of redemption within your suffering.
To survive is everything.
