Austin's Tree
A malignant brain tumor
We met Austin 8 years ago when my daughter started kindergarten and have been heart sick over this diagnoses of our dear friend.
Last night was a benefit to raise money for him & his family
They had a turn out of almost 200 people!
My daughter & I created this painting for their silent auction
and once again it came back home with us. I have this problem of letting paintings go sometimes.
If the bid doesn't go high enough for me...I just become the highest bidder.
Next Sunday is the sale that I'm in once a year, so this week will be busy trying to figure out what I'm taking and what still needs finishing.
Hope your weekend was a good one.

Beatiful tree! love the colors
This is really heartbreaking, especially you know him a friend. I sure hope your painting raises a lot of money, I love the colors, it's so warm, warms my heart looking at it.
Fingers crossed you get a high bit and all the best you friend!
Smiles, Anke ;)
oh, wow. I am sorry to hear this about Austin. it's so difficult.
You are right to be attached to the tree. I think it represents something bigger to you. I think it belongs with you..?
I hope your show this Sunday is a huge success.
Beautiful painting!
