I'm back with an update

Here it is in the sunlight

the white petals still need color
the yellow background needs a tint of some sort
and the most important part being the center needs some sort of something
not sure yet & am hoping it will come after the petals and the background is done.
Here it is in the shade
this painting is my tribute to the Custer Street Fair that I will be selling at June 16 & 17
These last 3 paintings are the ones I sent in to be accepted as a seller in the fair

I think they give a good idea of what my art is.
I hope to be 100% finished by Friday on my Custer painting
I'd say I'm about 60% through now
 Cya Friday

The progress I've made so far! Still so much more to go.
A smaller canvas

My newest Jackson Pollock book arrived today
More pictures in this one, which I needed. I haven't seen much of Pollocks work
I'm after his wild abandonment approach
Off for a girls get together

A day in my life

While I was waiting for my Jackson Pollock book to arrive I started reading this

Then today! My Jackson Pollock book arrived!
 All 775 pages of it!
Once I start reading it, Mike may come home and find me looking like this
I think Little Ms. Coco thinks I'm her mother and wants to be sitting in my chair always!
Here is a photo of todays progress on my flower painting for the Custer Street Fair
Many petals to go!
We'll see what happens tomorrow

May is here already!

The house has been a bit turned upside down these last few weeks and I'm sure it will be another few weeks before we have settled some and then summer travelers will soon be arriving I'm sure.
I have 5 more weeks before my first summer fair!
Every day by 8 am, I am in here ready to paint, unfortunately, I'm not always ready to paint.

This is a way crazy background
Usual daily garb...overalls and my scarf
My Mr. Pe Joe is starting to grey around his eyes...old man Joe we've been calling him
Another angle from the art room

Mike finished painting the dining room...bye bye yellow stripes!
Love when my tools look like this
I finally finished the painting on the left and it is now hanging in the dining room for a few weeks
 The boys napping
I decided to put a huge flower on this crazy canvas
I'll be back at it in the morning

Changes

This August we will have been living out here in the burbs of Chicago for 13 years!
When we bought the house, the house was all white!
but let me remind you, I wasn't an artist yet :  )

When I decided I wanted stripes in the dining room, I should have known something was stirring on the art side of my brain

So here we are now at least 10 years into these yellow stripes and its time for a change
I know these stripes will be missed by many.
The dining room is the room you walk through before entering the art room
the dining room is a room of many gatherings and photo shootings.
Mr. Pe Joe with Ms. Coco
While clearing out the dining room I found one of my many art blocks that I have collected throughout my early art entering.
I remember this painting being for sale on Ebay by one of my all time favorite artists and wanting it so badly and finally winning it.
Made me feel all warm inside :  )  I sure could use a new little art from my purple potato lady friend.
Have a great weekend. Besides helping Mike with dining room stuff, I plan on starting to cover me new stretched canvases I got yesterday.

Enjoy the day!
