Create in comfort

I was thinking about how I wanted to celebrate International Overalls Day.

Every day this week I plan on posting a photo of me in my overalls : )

I'll try to fancy them up : )

The overalls I am wearing in this photo are probably 7 or 8 years old, my mother in law gave them to me for a Christmas gift from the Sundance catalog.

A few things I did today

After watching this youtube video called "The Omo People"

I was inspired to start painting this.

I have totally enjoyed making this. Lots of fun

Then I went for a haircut and when I backed out of the parking spot I forgot about that 3 ft pole I parked next to. : (

I think I was 23 the last time I hit something boohoo

My witchy witch

I know it has been so long since I've written here. Life can keep ya busy, that's for sure! Some of you know that the company my husband was working for closed up back in August, right when I was getting ready to leave for my first art retreat. I went to AZ and had a wonderful time with Dawn and all the art I was exposed to. When I got home is when I started thinking about Mike not having a job. Hannah seemed to take it the hardest, I just kept telling her that Dad will find a new job and all still goes on, as it did. Yesterday was Mikes first day with the new company. Hooray!

So for the last month or so I've been here in my studio, working on my "Gut Art" as well as my journaling and teaching others to create as often as their schedule will permit. I create every day, even if I don't post here, know that I am arting and that is whats most important.

Hannah is doing well in high school, has definitely taken her a bit, but doing well. My Zack boy seems happy away at college. He has been a kid who has fought ADD and this year he is going without any ADD meds! His choice and is doing well. Bravo!

I will try to post some photos of what I've been creating and give you peeks of what I'll be making for my once a year sale that takes place December 6.

A different guitar

I needed to walk away from the bass guitar on Sunday

Sometimes I get too tense and need to step away...so I did

Walked out to the garage and found this sitting there waiting for me,

so I spent Sunday painting a (real) guitar just for the fun of it.

My 100th post : ) took me just over a year

Here is a photo of our little OREO

He was the kitty we brought back from our trip to VT

OREO has done nothing but win the hearts of most all that walk through the doors. Here he lays in the "scrap" basket in the art room.

I finally decided to paint the body a red, a red mixed with a little paynes grey.

I hope to be done with this by next weekend so that it can go to its new home : )
